Terms of Service

By creating a HookMind account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use HookMind.

1. The service

HookMind lets you submit an Instagram reel URL, generates an AI-powered analysis of why it works, and helps you recreate it as a storyboard/screenplay. New accounts receive a small number of free AI credits; after those are used, you can continue using the AI features for free and unlimited by bringing your own API key ("BYOK") from a supported provider (OpenAI, Google Gemini, or Anthropic).

2. Acceptable use

• Don't submit or generate illegal content, or content that infringes someone else's rights.
• Don't abuse the free-trial credit system (e.g. creating multiple accounts to farm free credits) or attempt to circumvent rate limits.
• Don't attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the HookMind service itself.
• Don't use HookMind to harass, impersonate, or violate the privacy of others.

3. Your content and BYOK keys

You retain all rights to the reel URLs, prompts, and other content you submit, and to the analyses, storyboards, screenplays, and other outputs HookMind generates for you. HookMind does not claim ownership over your submitted content or generated outputs. If you provide your own AI provider API key, it is used solely to make requests to that provider on your behalf and is encrypted at rest; you remain responsible for your own usage and billing with that provider.

4. No warranty

HookMind is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. AI-generated analysis, scripts, and summaries may be inaccurate — verify anything important before relying on it.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HookMind and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service.

6. Account termination

You may delete your account at any time from Account Settings inside the app — this permanently and irreversibly removes your account and all associated data. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, including abuse of free credits or rate limits.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Continued use of HookMind after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising from your use of HookMind will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
